Line & Wash Birds of Maryland (Beginner/Intermediate)
Fitness Center Evening Art Class
Explore the beauty of Maryland’s birds through expressive ink line work and watercolor washes. Students will learn approachable techniques for drawing birds, capturing movement, building simple compositions, and adding atmosphere with watercolor. Projects will feature seasonal birds inspired by wetlands, woodlands, shorelines, and backyard habitats of the Chesapeake region. We will be focusing on one final composition per month. Demonstrations, reference materials, and individual guidance provided.

Nature Journaling Through the Seasons (All Levels)
Slow down and connect with the natural world through line and wash watercolor, and observation-based journaling. Students will create journal pages inspired by summer and early autumn subjects such as flowers, insects, birds, seed pods, and small landscape studies. This relaxed and encouraging class combines simple artistic techniques with mindful observation and creative exploration. No previous drawing experience necessary.
